About Woodys Family Charities

Woodys Family Charities was formed in 2021 to increase our ability to help 501c3 charities in Fort Worth. It may have started as just doing a few fundraisers, back in 2001 to raise money for Komen 3 Day to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer, but with the help of the Woodys Family it just keeps on growing. We now support various 501c3 organizations in the Fort Worth area. Our Annual Woodys Family Cup benefits Cancer Care Services. Cancer Care Services is dear to our hearts as cancer has affected all of us at some level. Their work in the community helps those going through treatments as well as the family members that are coping and trying to be supportive, yet are struggling as well. The Toy and bike drive is so rewarding. A lot of the year in the life of a charity employee or volunteer is helping with the daily struggles of their constituents. The annual toy give aways are filling hearts with hope and laughter of both the givers and receivers. When we drop off toys and bikes to the charities, it is the social workers that feel relief knowing that other people care and that the people they help wont be disappointed. They also get to see the smiling faces of relieved parents and excitement of children. This helps them continue doing the daily work. Who are Woodys Family? They are not necessarily flesh and blood, but friends that have become family! Amazing people that come into your life and just make you a better person. We have been truly blessed over the years to all end up in a great town like Fort Worth that is filled with kind and generous people. It still amazes me when you post that you need help and they show up and exceed your expectations. Whether it's "hey kids at NICA need winter coats", or "Cancer Care needs funding"...the Woodys Family of people make it happen. It's all of us working to make this world, and especially our little corner of it better!
